Cardiff Bay is on the door step. All within a few minutes walk, there are numerous restaurants and bars as well as multiplex cinema and the Wales Millennium Centre where you enjoy theatre, opera and much more. Take boat trips or hire a yacht from the waterfront or relax at St David's Hotel & Spa. For the children, Techniquest the hands on science experience is worth visiting.
Cardiff City Centre is 20min walk or take a bus or train direct. Here you will find Cardiff Castle, flanked by Cardiff's Civic Centre where the National Museum of Wales and the City Hall are situated. During the festive season this provides the backdrop to Cardiff's Winter Wonderland.
Entertainment in Cardiff includes a number of theatres, The New Theatre for plays, The Cardiff International Arena (CIA) and St David's Hall for concerts and more. The Millennium Stadium, home of international rugby is in the middle of the city centre, if there is no game on why not take a guided tour. Cardiff shopping provides excellent facilities in Modern malls and Victorian arcades.
Explore a little further and see what the rest of Cardiff has to offer. Take a trip back in time at St Fagan's Museum of Welsh Life (a great day out and it's free) or go boating on Roath Park Lake. Wales is renowned for its Castles, visit Castell Coch, Caerphilly and Caldicot to name a few. For a day out visit the Brecon Beacons National Park and the Brecon Mountain Railway, see what it's like to do down a mine at the Rhondda Heritage Park or tour the South Wales Coast line. Have Fun!
